Hello Blogger!
This week I got to explore several tools that allowed me to create a slideshow such as Animoto, Fotobabble, and PhotoPeach. I decided to use Animoto to create my slide show that you can watch below! This tool is really beneficial for my educational use as it allows me to create slideshows in a fun, easy, accessible, and quick way. I could also use Animoto for personal purposes as you can create a "memory box" on it as well including pictures with text. This is an effective tool for not only us students but for professors as well as they can create short presentations or video clips for us during lecture. Unfortunately, I did not get experience all that Animoto has to offer as it was not the full version as it costs money to use. This tool only allowed me to put in a limited number of characteristics per slide which was hard to put in a sufficient amount of information which in turn lead me to having to finish one of my sentences on the next slide; breaking it up. I also got to use Prezi which is a tool I have used before and in previous sessions, and after using Animoto I would most likely prefer to use Prezi. This is because I find it more effective and efficient when creating a presentation. However, both tools do allow me to get my important points across, Prezi allows me to include more text therefore not having to use short form. I really enjoyed this weeks session as I also got to learn more about what rules you need to follow in order to be a good and positive digital citizen. Throughout this course I have learned a lot about what is needed to become and maintain a positive digital footprint/citizen which means that I must follow the digital laws on copyright. If you are interested in reading more about copyright and Digital laws, Creative commons is an amazing site to look at when getting a copyright licence for free.
Thanks for reading!
